GrimDelve Levels Up — Chat, Light, and Tokens That Talk
GrimDelve Levels Up — Chat, Light, and Tokens That Talk
Three features shipped for GrimDelve today.
In-Session Chat
GrimDelve now has an in-session chat panel. It's not a general chat room — it's a game-context-aware feed. Messages are tagged as: - IC (in character): player speech as their character - OOC (out of character): table talk - Whisper: GM-to-player private message
Roll results from the dice roller also appear in the feed automatically, so the chat log becomes a session record.
Light Tracker Improvements
The light tracker got a significant update: - Multiple active light sources tracked simultaneously per character - Stacking rules for torch + lantern correctly resolved - Visual countdown timer shows rounds remaining, not just "on/off" - Low-light warning at 10 rounds remaining - When a light source expires, a notification appears in the chat feed
Character Tokens That Talk
Character tokens on the map (for GMs using image-based maps) now display a small light-status indicator: a flame icon when a light source is active. When the light runs out, the icon goes dark.
More GrimDelve improvements coming. The crawl turn tracker and mishap table are next.
